I usually text when I don't want to be too intrusive and give someone space.

I always prefer to speak to love ones over the phone. I prefer texts when it's not urgent, for directions, event info, etc. However, there are a few friends I can hold a conversation over text messages anymore. I used to be able to do it when I was younger, but I value in person interactions much more now.

Lost is the art of verbal communication. One of the ways I was able to pull my girl was the fact that I called to speak to her and engaged her in conversation in person or via phone which was something nikkas her age never did, they prefer texting (nothing wrong with texting)

My boy was gamin at this bad chick at a lounge earlier this year, and he got her number. A couple of weeks later, she showed up at a party he threw at his spot. I'm the worst texter every... i forget i'm texting someone until .... 5-7 hours later and then i just give up

i'd rather talk though. i think pretty fast and i can't nearly type/text as fast as i can talk. i can't get what i have to say across as well. truthfully i'd rather do things in person though

I realized the way I respond to texts or any kind of messages, even a missed call would be considered rude. I don't respond unless I have something important to say. That could be for anyone. Over time, the idea of having a cell phone and all these mediums where people can contact you whenever they want AND expect an immediate response has become irritating. People have too much access to you and expect way too much.

Most messages I'll ignore for a good while until 100% ready to respond. All that "wyd", "what's good", "what you up to" shyt is not for me.

i respond at my own pace with something honest and what i'd considerer meaningful. it's normally something funny or a simple confirmation of plans that we've actually discussed. it's different with everyone, though. some people i don't respond to at all because they are straight retards, i just ignore them to the point that they have to call me.
