How do you know if the iPad mini is a failure?

Normally when Apple launch a new device no matter how good it is the Apple fanboys will defend it tooth and nail. But I noticed something on the tech sites I visit such as Engadget, The Verge etc. People are openly criticizing the iPad mini. Other then a couple rebuttals by some its no real opposition to the hate its getting. But lets not kid are self Apple will sell millions of them to the uninformed iSheep.

Apple has turned into the Walmart of electronics for people how dont know much about them. Just how Sony was in the 80's and 90's.

Apple has a reputation of being innovators (Undeserved in my opinion) The iPad mini is a smaller iPad 2 with a lightning connector and better cams. That in it self is fine. But when it is presented it as a premium product with a premium price point while at the same time using arbitary facts to make it seem like its superior to the lower cost Nexus 7 is whats pissing people off.

Lets be real, the Ipad Mini brings NOTHING new to the table at all...

Its actually a step back from previous iPads specs wise..

So I can see why alot of people and even apple stans are criticizing it and are disappointed.

The only success apple will see is if they take some of the market share away from Google and Amazon in the smaller tablet market.

But even thats is Sad because Apple wasn't ever about trying to take a piece of the pie. Apple use to make its own pies and make everyone else try to catch up. I honestly think Steve Jobs would have been like at worrying about 7'' tabs and would have been on to the next big thing.

But now its starting to looking like that Apple might not have a "next big thing" so thats why they dropping new Macs, Ipads, Iphones ever few months now with very minor improvements trying to milk the iStans while they still got them..

The Nexus 7 is by far the best "mini" tablet. Don't even bother with the Kindle Fire unless you are going to take full advantage of all the amazon services.

What's the criticism??? I was thinking of getting one

resolution mainly, pretty disappointed with the 1024 x 768, i knew it was rumored to be that but i was hoping for retina and a 16:9/16:10....

products come out and some thing disappointing is discovered and its just a con but when its an Apple product its a insertitemgate and a huge deal for detractors
