I think Vince knew exactly what he was doing along the way too. The way he was booked from July of 2005 onward guaranteed that he’d never have better than a split crowd. They used the merchandise sales, but I recall at one point he had 120+ pieces of merch while nobody else even had 40 in the shop zone. At the same time, attendance and ratings declining were dismissed while they never tried anything new with him, which just sucks. All the other greats turned heel or reinvented themselves at some point. Cena never got to do that, and he really should have pushed for it. I think he would have been excellent as a corporate heel type in the 2010-12 era. Booking him as a hybrid of rock and Steve Austin in 2005 and then as another hogan from 2006 onward didn’t do him any favors.

Yeah..the first two years..after that he bombed. As a matter of fact...he was never over the same way after Taboo Tuesday 05. That Chain Gang and Marine character rehaul bombed. But they pushed him like it didnt...and kept on pushing. Had him go over DX back to back WMs..kept him from losing to Taker in the main event for YEARS...lol.

Let me stop you. Roman isn’t the same hemisphere as big Match John.
Roman has no charisma like him. He wasn’t even in a wwe movie yet. This guy was pushed by the machine while John did most of it on his own.
Easy to sell merch when you have the most and its promoted above everyone else. The guy is Milli Vanilli. He's a utter phony who should of been depushed when he originally bombed in 05.

What pro was bad that you didn’t like? He’s comfortable on the mike, quick witted and can and play great to the crowd whether he going for the pop or heel heat.
Put him on RAW no and he’d be one of the top 5 promo guys on the brand..... and that’s being humble cuz I’d really say top 2 or 3
He’s better than Brawn, Rollins, Drew, Ziegler..... he’s better than Reigns and if you recall the RR & Cena promo feed. That would’ve been different if it was him and Cena cuz he is quick witted and could fire back and not look awkward and get owned.
Hell if they gave him a “suffering succotash” promo, he would make that shyt entertaining and not look like an idiot

He ain’t no scrub, he’s solid in the ring. Good enough to hang with anyone in the WWE, even more since they don’t even care about ring work

It's more his cadence and delivery, but he's so unfunny and is always trying to hard to be funny, except when he's trying to be super serious and then he's even worse.

I got you and see that’s when I compare him to the other top guys and to me he does it better than so many others.
Many don’t even understand how to deliver and line right or to even use a cadence.
Guys out there currently talk talk talk..... but it’s feels so bland and boring.
He does little things that sets him a little apart and he also expresses well with his eyes or etc while most guys are looking like they trynna think “what’s my next line” and scared to fukk up abd face the wrath of Vince & Steph
