How do you feel about Zoos?

The internet & modern media has allowed us to peak into their natural habitat moreso than any visit to the local zoo could. Granted these creatures aren't really inside of your laptop screen but what's the difference between that and some thick piece of pexi glass??? Let my peoples go!

i've always felt weird about zoos. i hate seeing caged/out of their element animals. i remember going to the zoo on a field trip (aka i don't feel teaching) in elementary school and the teacher was talking about how they try to set things up to mimic whatever the animal's natural habitat is...and i asked "well why don't they just leave them in their natural habitat?"

she looked at me like "just shut the fukk up and look at the penguins".

I see your logic, but it's pretty faulty. I actually just started eating meat a few times a week to increase my weight after stopping for almost 3 years. But I never stopped for moral reasons, animals die every day b, it is what it is. Zoos are just fukked up all the way around.
