I agree with OP. If I was a film maker(which I hope to be), I'd rather create my OWN vision(script) than someone else. By creating another persons script you're creating another persons art.
How Do You Feel About Directors Not Writing Their Own Screenplays?

Exactly. It's some genres where some directors would be better. Like I'm writing a synopsis but it's more of a treatment than synopsis, anyways, it's an espionage joint but I know they're better directors that have the skill and knowledge to bring it to life versus me.
