Game of Thrones
Rome
Spartacus

Game of Thrones gets the nod because George RR Martin's pen game is impeccable and gives Game of Thrones a huge huge huge edge in the quality of the writing.

Rome was :krs: and the guy who plays Julius Cesar is the king north of the wall in game of thrones.

Spartacus had one of the best final seasons of any shows final run. where lotta classic shows had awful final seasons (wire, sopranos, lost, etc), which i do not put in the same category by any stretch, however those who havent watched should do themselves a service and watch War of the Damned, the final spartacus season. lotta emotions throughout, if you ever been involved in any sort of brotherhood/team organized sport, you should have an appreciation for the show. it left me with nothing short of high praise.

that said, Games of Thrones is the best show of these types. But Spartacus came hard its entire last season. Show overall deserves respect

I see a couple of my Spartacus brehs recommending Vikings...I might have to give it a look this weekend...

I don't get all this GOAT talk for GOT on here...Yes the story is great and the characters are deep and engaging but it is seriously lacking on the action side...That war last season was one of the worst filmed battles I have ever seen and they spent the whole season hyping it up...shyt was one big explosion followed by a 5 on 5 scrimmage that abruptly ended cuz Tywin rode in with another 5 guys...:smh:

Spartacus had the GOAT fukkery and amazingly well choreographed action scenes (especially the battles in season 3) plus an assortment of great characters...After Andy Whitfield died though the show lost a bit of its luster...I personally did not like season two at all but they really ended things well in season three...Liam did his thing and I salute him...

I can only go off of the shows that I've watched....

1. Spartacus- This show to me is one of the best to ever do it. It's a show made for real nikkas. Great characters, great action, epic fight scenes and gory finishes. Bad bytches, good sub plots (mad scheming). Classic dialogue. (mad sonnings) There's nothing I could fault the show with. They lost their best actor after the 1st season and still managed to make great seasons after that. Not too many shows can do that. This show also has the record for best season finales as well.

2. Borgias- this show is mad fukking slept on. Not too many people gave it a chance. It's like Spartacus light. What I mean by that is it pretty much has everything that Spartacus has but in smaller dosage. It got bad bytches fukking and good fight scenes, good dialogue and cats be getting sonned every episode. Good characters. Good intrigue and multiple subplots. It has action but not as much as Spartacus but violent shyt does go down. Pretty good show. I enjoy it. Never seen a wack episode.

3. Vikings- this show is damn good, it's prolly closer to Spartacus with the action but it's in it's own lane. It's pretty good for a show like this thats not on a premium channel. I can't put it over Borgias because it'll never be able to push the envelope the way Borgias and Spartacus can. Great characters. The season finale was a let down due to the lack of action, but that's my only complaint. Main character got swag out of this world. Good pace as well.

4. Da Vinci's Demons- this show is good. it had to grow on me because the 1st episode was weak as hell, but it got better after that. The characters are good and nikkas be getting sonned with the dialogue. Mad knowledge be getting dropped too. It's not heavy on action, but it has it's moments. It's more of a thinking man's show. It has it's own lane though which is cool. It takes place during the same era as the Borgias, but it goes a different route. Borgias is more serious toned and brutal/realistic, while this is more lighter but still got bytches and explosions and shyt.

Game of Thrones- I caught a few episodes and was never really impressed. It's too late in the game for me to get into it now and watch from the beginning. It's cool cuz I honestly don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. I hear great things about the show so I would never knock it or clown anybody for fukking with it though.

from someone who watches all these shows except vikings... great post

1. i don't know how so many people sleep on the borgias.. its not sopranos. it's actually a true story, from which the GODFATHER was based on. the pope is basically corrupt and his family takes over rome. but they are spanish so a lot of italian families aren't feeling that.. plus all the sex, money and murder going down in the vatican wasn't cool..

2. borgias has the greatest assassin in tv history.. this nikka just does it all.....

3. you might wanna give GOT another chance.. its only like 10 eps a season. you'll be caught up in a weekend. its hard to start because they spend a good time developing characters. but my god!!! i caught on after the first season and haven't missed an episode since.. probably watched each 3-4 times just to keep current with everything.. its deep. plus we seem to like the same shows. you'd like it

I remember a couple years ago when Game of Thrones, Camelot, and The Borgias all premiered aroudn the same time and I for sure thought that Camelot was gonna be the best out of the three.

Camelot started of interesting but then turned straight trash. Them battles were straight bin status too. It be like 10v10 battle and they was trying to make it out to be some huge throwdown. Show is garbage and I aint surprised it got cancelled.

In no order I got GOT, Rome, and Spartacus. I'm tempted to put Spartacus at the top just off the last season alone. :whew: shyt was crazy. One of the few shows that I can
remember that ended on a high in the final season. I cant remember a genre show having such a great final run and didnt end it in fukkery or non-sensical bullshyt.

You must be referring to Don Micheletto who works under the Pope's son. That dude is the truth. He got the assassin/torture/ right hand man game on lock.

As far as the Borgias go. I feel if nikkas enjoyed Spartacus they'll enjoy the Borgias as well if they gave it a chance.

Yeah, I gotta find the time to fukk with GOT. The random episodes I caught weren't bad, I just kinda expected more due to the hype and plus I was fukking with Spartacus/Borgias heavy and you can watch any random episodes from those series and be entertained even if you don't fully know what's going on. GOT wasn't like that, but I'll give it another shot in the future and start from the beginning.

Rome Season 1>Spartacus Prequel>Spartacus Season 1>Game of Thrones Season 1>Game of Thrones Season 3 (so far)>Spartacus Season 3>Game of Thrones Season 2>Rome Season 2>Spartacus Season 2

That first season of Rome was amazing brehs. It's a damn shame the show got murked the next season; the writers had all these big plans but HBO told them it would be the last season, so they scrapped it and had to speed to the end.

Game Of Thrones...I'm biased. Love the books and I feel like it would be one of the absolute best shows on TV if done right...but unfortunately it's inconsistent. S1 started real slow/weak, but got better and ended on a very high note. S2...meh; outside of Blackwater and a couple other episodes I didn't like that shyt. S3 has great great so far tho, hopefully it ends strong.

Spartacus is great. The first season and the prequel were amazing TV, it's a shame some people be hating on Spartacus based off the trailers or clips from the show; you gotta give it a shot. The first episode sucks, but once you get three eps in...it's on.

never seen The Borgias, it looks great tho
