How Do We Feel About The Recent Gambling Push on Black Folks?

Just seeing these Prizepicks commercials and it got me thinking

Not sure what you are talking about. If you saw a commercial targeted to a black audience, yeah you are going to see black folks. Outside of that blacks are viewed as being spenders. It's nothing new and it wouldn't be surprising if there really is a push. Personally I don't fyck with it.

I use DraftKings. Basically what I do is study players and their stats. Let’s say basketball. I’ll look at LeBrons stats and how many points he averages. I’ll look at his last few games and what he’s scored. I’ll make a parlay and put him down for 20 that night if that’s what he’s scoring. Add a couple of other players like this. Can do assist and rebounds too. That’ll get you to like 300+. Do an obvious team to win too like Celtics over Pistons.

Apply the same to NFL. MLB is too hard imo. Players might not hit and stuff.

But yeah, even if they average X amount of points they can have an off night so always be prepared to lose.

The language in the commercials, the testimonials of the winners. The whole idea of I can do it, you can too. Businesses make way more money off poorer, working class people than people with more who have more options (outside apps) to wager money.

The lotto and gambling spots was always in the hood and targeted to the lower class it only seems like its targeting us more because brehs are active in and watch sports. I was never a gambler so when it was legalized in NY and all the apps came out i only downloaded it cause everybody was sending me their signup link to get the intro cash.

After my promo money was depleted i put about $100 dollars total in the app then forgot about it. There was a crazy stat out about how many people are in debt right now from gambling since other states started legalizing it. Its like the government want us drugged up on pills, alcohol or weed and in debt
