How do we feel about Germany being the next global superpower - not Russia or China?

Germany is in a more stable financial condition that America. We are on the bubble, when it pops, we are going to turn into the next Brazil. Super rich and super poor in one big country. The middle class will either go into the upper class and the rest will fall in to the lower class. Then, China who depends on America's payment of loans and commerce is going to spiral into a recession. That's going to tank their economic and real estate bubble. Global financial crisis will ensue. Germany will be hurt but they are going to become one of the stronger nations from the global financial fallout. But, it's not like they are going to go for global domination.

I don't know, those Teutons have a "tendency" if you know what I mean:sadcam:

The Chinese have generally been isolationist. They only fukk with whats theirs, historically - Tibet, Taiwan etc. Outside of that they leave everybody the fukk alone - check Africa and their strategy there for example.

Germany(like Japan) is no longer a factor.
Their global power is illusory.

:snooze:

:heh: How are they not a factor when they are holding the EU together? Without Germany the EU would collapse tomorrow if Germany left and switched back to the deutsche mark. The 2nd strongest international reserve currency in the world after the US was the deutsche mark before they switched to the euro. So they are a major major factor.

Culturally and politically German is more step with America.

Russia and China are disgusting countries.

Economically influential? Yes.

Superpower? No.

Germany is only a factor when included as the "lead nation" of a much larger economic zone (the EU) -- a zone that has no unified foreign policy, no unified army, no unified government and no cohesive central banking system.

Unless some kind of war forces greater European integration, Germany will never be a superpower.
