How do we all feel about America catering to Spanish speakers and not vice versa?

To be honest, I think people that immigrate to a different country should at least learn the language of where they plan to start a new life. U can keep your own language and culture, but at least learn enough to get by in the country that is hosting you.

Texas has an interesting history tho cause for a long time, it was Mexico. Even when the Americans first took it over, the US government didn't consider it a legit state. That's why they called it the Lone Star State.

So I understand the big Mexican community there not wanting to speak English and shyt but its more because of historical reasons than laziness or not wanting to learn English.

I actually think its beneficial to learn Spanish, and I understand how demographics are changing. I just hate the extent it is to the point people can't get a job if you don't know Spanish, and not even tourist/specialty jobs. That is not right. It is no way I could go to a South American country live their all my life have an everyday day job and not know Spanish or Portuguese.

I don't like that the fact that this doesn't encourage Spanish speaking people to learn a few phrases or sentences in English. That is all I want from them.

Also, this forces English speaking people to learn Spanish inside and out. Most people are not that skilled in learning another language, but they want EVERY American citizen to learn that shyt on that level?
