How did you feel after your favorite rapper fell off?

trawled through the thread and can't believe none of yall mentioned dmx. his fall-off hit a nikka hard as i was in high school when he was hot. it's "dark and hell is hot" and "flesh of my flesh, blood of my blood" are the soundtracks to my formative years. was about to say and then he dropped the flop "and then there was x" until a quick google search revealed that sh1t sold 5m units

those were the days to be a rapper, when a mediocre release would still go multiplat. but his latest releases have been

then 50 came through and crushed the buildings, the crack addiction took centre stage and now we have my favourite rapper growing up wylin out on oprah about his drug use. can't even watch them sh1ts anymore and that's real talk, too sad

someone like Nelly and 50 cent come and go because they shyt was catchy a fad..

this man DMX had real ass talent and classic cds and he just fell the fukk off cause of drugs

after Encore I held out hope for years that Em would return to form. Then Relapse dropped with the horrible accents and subject matter but I still held out hope he get back to his old self.

Then Recovery was dropped and it was terrible. After that I officially gave up. That wack ass Bad Meets Evil album was just the icing on the cake. I don't even check for dudes new music anymore.

Good thing Kid Cudi is my favortie artist of all time because he dropped four dope ass albums and all of his lyrics have meaning and can lift your mood or get you through hard times

I've heard all of his albums multiple times, and there are no bad albums, every album I can play from start to finish without getting bored or skipping. There's literally no other rapper with as many albums as him with that kind of discography. In terms of music made, Kanye West is the greatest rapper of all time
