It's funny hearing how people watched wrestling back then now. I clearly remember being the only one at school who'd watch RAW on a weekly basis back from '95 to '98 (when everyone jumped ship to RAW). Maybe because I grew up in north/central Florida in WCW country.

To give you an idea, I'd mention Stone Cold, Sycho Sid or The Rock and I'd get hit with the :comeon: WE WAS WATCHING NITRO.

But like it's been said, first hour was WCW and the next 2 hours were flipping back and forth. That was the best era in wrestling just because you had the option.

Yep i remember hating mankind and rock and anything to do with wwf at that time.Stone cold was still my dude.Me and like 5 homies would always be in my friends basement getting blunted and everyone would get pissed if you put it on WWF.WCW was in our backyard though so everyone around here was pro WCW.But once everyone started jumping ship you pretty much had no choice but to flip.Still enjoyed the wcw fukkery thou even to its last day :steviej:.Same thing that made it so diffrent from vinces product is the same thing that took it under.

Word, the Kevin Nash vs. Luger or Hogan vs. Piper matches that would START at 11:00, last 6 minutes, and then have a run in 100% GUARANTEED were AWESOME, and NEVER got tired and played out :comeon:

You Said You Didnt Watch WCW Main Events, You Clearly Dont Know What You're Talking About & Choose To Look Over The Fact That WCW Main Events Were Like A Big Time Tyson Fight Each & Every Monday Night

Heres how:

Hour 1 - Nitro
Hour 2 - Raw
Hour 3 - Flip depending who was on the screen
Main event and Overrun - RAW

So, you'd see a hot beginning and promos, a lucha or cruiserweight match, maybe some Chris Jericho or La Parka, a hot raw beginning and in ring promos/maybe a tag match, then you'd choose whether you'd wanna see some nwo foolery, or some DX/Austin/Rock/Corporation foolery, or a good match.

Main events though :childplease: YOU WERE watching Raw.

So in short

NOBODY watched 3 hours of nitro :heh:

no reason to try and convince you why it was good if you seem to have your mind made up about it. Goldberg was unbeatable on TV yet on the flip side count the times you saw Ausin beat on non PPV on one hand during that era.

both shows had their flaws, for every Rock, Austin moment of greatness, there was a choppy choppy pee pee/ the oddities actually wrestling and getting actual time to do so on TV happening on RAW too, but for both shows when they were good they were GREAT Television.

I watched RAW live usually then caught the Nitro replay because it usually played immediately after. Or i'd flip back and forth if something major was going down.

Yea from 96-98 I always checked Nitro main events. It was always hilarious to see who the NWO would beat down or if Sting would come out

Glacier would be so over if the character debuted now. :mjpls:

You didn't see Glacier in CHIKARA? Ridiculously over for a footnote in wrestling history.

I think it needs to be mentioned that the WWF didn't have consistently good wrestling until about 2000. Before that, especially around 1998-1999, the quality of the in-ring was extremely hit or miss. You at least had consistently good matches somewhere on Nitro until Jericho and the Radicalz left and were replaced by Vince Russo.

nikkas shytting on my dude Glacier...but I used to give nikkas that work WCW vs nWo wit him. Spinning Rock Bottom...Sweet Chin Music. You could hit that superkick 3-4 times before the special meter ran out. Yeah WCW was dope tho. Yeah...there was some gimmicks...but there was some GREAT wrestlers. Wrestlers who definetly should have been bigger than they were...and some who were when they got to the E. WWF won the war but don't act like WCW wasn't doing some great things that WWF wasn't. There was a reason that they were beating WWF in the ratings wars for so long. WCW was the shyt. WWF was too. I watched both. Westcoast got to watch em back to back.
