I do think it was do to him doing crazy cardio workouts and etc.

But also do to that older style of "slowing shyt down" not a lot of "explosive" shyt and sprinting or jumping and alot of resthold type shyt.

Hell you can get in the ring with someone and put them in a headlock for like 5 minutes, then put them in a wristhold for another 15+ working that shyt. Then throwing them out the ring for a 10 count that you break up extending and etc.

shyt was different back then
i was about to say this

flair would be :dead: doing flippy shyt nowadays

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Flair once said he was he was at an airport waiting on his flight and he ran into Andre who made him come over and start drinking with him while he, himself, waited on his flight. Flair got on the plane sloshed to the gills...and he was flying to a town to do a 60+ Minute match that night. :merchant:

As a former alcoholic, that exhausts me just thinking about it. fukk. :skip:

He wasn’t overly muscular and stayed in great shape. I think the only time he ever doubted himself was during the early 2000’s after WCW shut down. In his book he said his self esteem was completely gone. He went to Vince, Stephanie and Triple H and talked to them about it. It took Taker requesting him as an opponent to gain his confidence back. Flair might legit be the best conditioned athlete in wrestling. He could do hour long matches in his sleep.

Cocaine is hell of a drug.

I will also say that in ring Ric was a prototype for todays wrestler endurance-wise, but the way they used to work back then is a lot different than now.
