Luther was a voice. Never promoted on looks or charisma. A&R didn't know what do with him. They could have made him more of a lady killer, but his personality was just to carefree, and there was no way to sell it. He didn't get the media promotion like he should have based on his talent, and I do think that it was because he was effeminate. A shame. Paul Mooney has that same stigma, but I don't know if anyone saw them with a dude.
