Alotta reasons

One of the primary is cali was the plug. We right next to Mexico. We can get work for cheaper than anyone in the Midwest. Only Miami could really compete

Another reason is most the dudes from Cali that went OT and started up sets out of state, we're Cali dudes on the run for bodies n stuff. True head bussas. They found alotta weak hoods and just took over.

An Asian gang from long beach called trg got sets in all 50 states. Reason being in the 80s, when og's would catch bodies, they would just leave the state and start a new set wherever they touched down. Dudes was all certified killers, pretty easy to command respect when ur gun bussin

i have older cousins in PHX around 50 or even older that joined because there were no real gangs here until the late 70s when LA dudes came here. before that, your criminality was just aimless unless you were a hustler. hustlers out here made little mafias, but violent dummies just organically crash out on bad robberies and drug use, until LA OGs showed up and gave them a sense that they were building toward something. they are broke and dusty now but still proud of themselves, so mentally, the B and C thing works in some capacity.
