New topic for youtube. "What exactly is, 'Black Culture'? It's such an ambiguous term. Essentially it's a group of people who lost their culture by being forced to America as slaves and in turn created their own culture. Language, religion and customs were destroyed. Black 'culture' seems to change depending on the decade. In the 1950's black culture was dressing up and working your ass off with the mentality of "we have to be 10 times better than the white people." In the 1960's it was the black power fistpumping. In the 1980's it was hyper-individualism. In the 1990's, people say it was hiphop culture. But are any of those really black culture? Is it culture or is it a response to the environment? Ask 10 people what being "black" is and they will tell you something different. I really don't think you can define black culture. There are cultural things that are taught but even those are dependent on the community (socioeconomic) rather than the race.
