I been saying this!! Only reason Ethiopia never got colonised is because they where in bed with the Europeans since the 15th century. They never resisted them, but actually cooperated.
But lets celebrate how Ethiopia ''defeated'' the Italians. But they never seem to mention that they received huge support from other whites. Name a time, Europeans have ever come to the aid of an African nation except Ethiopia.

They had correspondences with them because as Christian kingdoms they shared a common foe in the Muslim states. They aided Ethiopia because the prestige of the state gave them mythical status as the kingdom of “Prester John”. Ethiopia knew of, and traveled to Europe long before the age of discovery or colonialism. But of course, let’s just ignore that history. In fact, let’s also ignore that Ethiopia’s name rang bells in Ancient Egypt and Greece as well.
And name the list of whites, aside from the Orthodox Christian Russians giving us guns since the Euros froze us out, that helped us during the Italian campaign? Or how bout how Europe turned a blind eye while Mussolini used chemical weapons? So you tellin me the British with their colonial troops taking credit for the work the guerilla fighters put in on the ground? Are you aware of how the Ethiopian leadership was playing the Europeans off one another during the age of colonialism? Would I vote Republican? Absolutely not. I’ll vote Green. But do I understand why the VA Ethiopians did what the did? Absolutely. This is about Biden, and honestly the Obama administration’s, unwavering support for the TPLF against the wishes of a majority of Ethiopians. That doesn’t mean the right wing won’t do the same things. But Ethiopians are pissed and want to hurt Biden’s tenure for what he’s done.
