How come there was no thread on Scarfaces 'My Homies' 20 yr anniversary?

I saw a Moment Of Truth thread but when I think of Moment Of Truth I think Cocoa Brovaz And My Homies.

Face jumping on the double album bandwagon trend but he did it the right way. He kept it interesting because it wasn't really a Scarface album but more a feature album. I thought the concept was cool....Have an album filled with the hottest underground down south and west coast rappers. Me personally I thought it was a dope compilation. Even the rock song at the end was cool and way better then the rock song KRS attempted on I Got Next. I never felt that Mater P/2pac song because it came off forced.

KB telling Devin a chick put his foot in her p*ssy pulled it out and started sucking his toes :heh:

Wasn't too wellreceived back then, since it was a glorified Rap-A-Lot/Interface compilation

Personally, I love this double album, tons of great Devin cuts (basically every song he's featured on goes hard), the singles were hot (F Faces feat. Too $hort/Devin/Tela and Homies&Thuggs feat. Master P/2Pac), only the Facemob, Menace Clan and R&B (FLAJ) and rock-rap (Rag Tag) cuts were lame

My 3 faves (all on disc 1)

I copped all three.
My Homies has some dope shyt on it, but it was bloated and not a true Face album.
The Cocoa Bs album was terrible.

J Prince figured it out later and switched it up on the next go round and named the next project what My Homies should have been named.

But yeah that Cocoa Brovaz was a let down. First the "Won On Won" video were they were in a tub full of kool aid...

...then Black Trump :blessed:

Black Trump for 1 month was the hottest song in the streets of NYC right after Phone Tap.

Then 'Spanish Harlem' with Hurricanne G :mjcry:

3 back to back bangers....I thought we were gonna get another classic. Turns out those 3 songs were the only good to come from that album. :snoop:

I listened to that album A LOT. Put me on to Devin, more of that dope Rap a Lot production from the mid-late 90s, put me on to Seagram too. The Pac/Master P song was never my fav but it was done well I think.

But Word. That album put me onto Devin as well. like @OHSNAP! said any song he was on banged out.

This song is still smooth 20 years later. Beat sounds like some Geto Boys shyt.

I found this CD in my mom's collection and was banging it heavy, put @Motife43 on to it lol.

But I don't think it's talked about a lot because according to Scarface, none of them nikkas on the tape was his homies :russ:
