How come Slick Rick was never able to have another Great Adventures?

I knew he had a lot of trouble with immigration but I had no idea it was so in depth and they just won’t give it up even after losing several times!

I mean it is what it is I was just shocked at his fagisha cousin's story.

The Art of Storytelling is a classic to me. Probably go back to that more than any 1999 hip hop album other than 2001.

Still crazy he never dropped another album. Rick style is timeless and he still kill guest appearances to this day. And other artists still gonna line up to work with him on something new.

He's been working on his new album for like 3-4 years.

I think with touring and doing mad shows all over, he's just been focused on getting bread on the road. He has a show here tomorrow. But he's been in the studio off and on forever. He said it would drop last year, but the updates stopped a minute ago.

Amazing news. No reason to drop it before it's ready.

Happy to read that the public is still supporting the legend. He's probably making more money from shows than from an album he would drop so can't knock the hustle. His style is timeless and could fit well on all kinds of production imo so I hope he does drop one though. I keep wanting to hear him on some of those smoother Griselda-type tracks.

Damn, Large Pro. You remember this one they did together? I put this on so many mix CDs back in the day :mjlol:

Yooooo!!

I used to love this beat when I was a kid, lol. Him and Large Pro always had great chemistry. He sounds dope over LP's production. So I hope they put out whatever they've been working on.

I wish we could have got an early album from Rick or the get fresh crew those 1984/5 tapes are legendary
and sadly some of them are lost forever early Rick was raw as hell him and Rakim were way ahead of they time
