I think most of the people complaining just want it to be better and are too invested to simply not watch it..

there are trolls too that'll go overboard with shyt for a reaction but that's literally with everything that has an audience.

How come people still complain about people who complain about the product?

I mean 75% of these people are just old neckbeards who will never stop complaining until Vince dies anyway. I don't get how after 2 plus years on a message board people don't get this and still spend an exorbitant amount of time and energy judging and critiquing those who judge and critique the product.

:mjlol:

People like to complain. They hang around (online) like minded people and have opinions :manny: no different than you having an opinion on their opinion. The same bit of advice you would give them about the product, "shut up or don't pay attention" or the like, is the same advice someone could give you about them :ehh:

I'm not one of those "well if you don't like it don't watch" annoying people, I'm saying you literally know what you're gonna get, you've been fed the same thing for 10+ years, why the hell do you still expect something different and then throw fits when you don't get it? There's better wrestling out there, invest your energy in that instead of WWE. And as I said in a post above, actually showing support for the guys you want to see will get you places, not watching something you don't like every week then going on the internet and complaining about it which is asinine in every sense of the word.

If Paramount drops more crappy Transformers movies for another 10 years, its on you if you continue to buy a ticket, you don't get to complain about it afterwards. If Ubisoft drops more crappy Assassin's Creed games for another 10 years, its on you if you continue to buy them. If the NBA Playoffs stink for another 10 years, its on you if you continue to watch and invest. Its not like the WWE's been going through a rough stretch for a few months or whatever, its literally been over a decade of mediocrity. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, fool me three times, fool me four times..... And its not like I don't get it. I've been one of those angry fans for a really long time as well. But recently ever since better wrestling has popped up, I don't feel the need to invest in the WWE product so much to the point of aggravation over it.

it's about investment ^^^

Speaking personally, I've been invested in the WWE's product since 1999. It's 2017 now.. that's 18 years of Raws, Smackdowns, PPV's etc.

Do you know how many hours of WWE product that is? LOL... I can watch New Japan, ROH or whatever show and be fine with the product, but that still isn't gonna change the fact that I've been invested in WWE for nearly 20 years and I'm ONLY 25. That's damn near my entire life. Nothing can replace that. Whether it's bad, great or completely awful, it's still gonna be THE premier show for me and I'm gonna critique the product, good or bad. That's just life.. Don't get me wrong, I'm not losing any sleep over the shyt, I doubt anyone else is either, but people are expected to be vocal about product they're invested in and feel strongly about. That's just life..

You see the same thing in sports, music, etc. I'd compare it to being a lifelong Knicks fan. Can't tell people to accept that their team is an embarrassment and move on/not care, they're TOO invested. They might watch and root for other teams, that's fine. They might even develop a strong relationship with other franchises... but it's still always gonna boil down to the NY Knicks at the end of the day, no matter how bad they've been or for how long. They're gonna hold on to those glory days, and jump the second things look even a little bit promising.

So much better shyt out there but chances are your favorite wrestler works for Vince or probably will soon. Vince knows the product sucks but HHH keeps it afloat by hiring guys the smart fans like.

I got to this point recently. I was watching one day and just said :hhh: why am I giving these people my time and money? Wrestling in the heyday at least made some sense. This current run makes no sense to me. They 50/50 book everything to death, they actively killed the women's division after a year of the women's revolution, they actively don't want to build stars and when they do (Braun) they have no idea what to do with him. Much like the Cena era, it truly works in a "what is Roman doing?" discussion and works from there. Even smackdown has taken a step back.

Then I laughed and said why do I care so much lol. I just got NJPW World and watched wrestling that I liked. I'm sure I'll be back for the big PPV's, but I truly feel like the E, despite having the best talent pool they've ever had, stinks right now, but a second North American promotion - not ROH, not GFW - could truly be better than them.

We complain, because they are the largest company, with the most money to dispense, and the most reach around the world. You want the company with the most potential to deliver the best product, so we will keep nitpicking until they give us something we are more happy with than more upset with.

Exactly. The WWE is supposed to be the be-all end-all company, with every resource possible, best production value, etc, yet outside of production (and I mostly mean those excellent video packages they do), they slack in every single way possible. The WWE is equivalent to a combine warrior with a ton of natural ability, yet when they actually compete, they don't measure up. Thank God I'm not solely a WWE viewer, or I'd feel like an idiot.

75% of it will always be watered down uninspired boring garbage as long as Vince is still in charge. I don't know how after 13 or so years of mediocrity, people don't get this and still spend an exorbitant amount of time and energy judging and critiquing the product. You can't expect a dude in his 70's with 50 years in the biz to still be on his B-game, let alone A-game, creatively and mentally. Stop being so invested in it and just let it be and enjoy the things you might enjoy because there is still some decent stuff on a week-to-week basis, or just stop watching if its insufferable to you (like 70% of WWE's audience since Attitude Era did).

NJPW, NXT, and LU all offer much more modern, interesting, fresh, and above all cooler takes on wrestling with better character development than most of anything Raw or SD care to present, invest your energy and time into those if you really want your wrestling fix. G1, which I hear has been incredible thus far, is absolutely something you should be taking a look at over whatever wack sauce the WWE main product has going on. I mean people are still getting their panties in a bunch over Roman Reigns like cmon bruh :mjlol: At some point you gotta help yourself
Lol people complained about it when it was good also. People will always complain but it has been trash for a minute. Previously the attitude era guys could atleast still wrestle but they can't rely on that either anymore.

Don't forget personalities to drawn you in. Mid-carders like Godfather, Al Snow, D'Lo Brown, and Val Venis all at one time or another gave you more reason to get behind them than Rollins, Balor, Ziggler, and most of the CWs do today.

If wwe would stop being so damn restrictive and take the attitude era approach of letting people try new ideas and develop new characters when shyt isn't working they would be fine imo.
