Because if you remmeber back then, they specifically gave him the ball every play during tht game to break the record. Like they went outta their way to give him the ball every play to where it was obvious what they were doing.

That's why it's not really respected.

:salute: + rep. I remember when that game happened, ESPN didn't even show that many highlights of it. The admiral gets overlooked a bit because he played in an era of really good centers and he wasn't better than Olajuwon. Then he took a backseat role when Duncan came. He was better than every C that came after he retired by a mile.
