the overlying answer is cause nobody mentions SD rap really.
And for all the talk they do about SD radio and DJ's not supporting local acts, it's really more that SD is an afterthought musically.... people really do think the city is just Sea World,The Navy and Beaches.
His last album was cool, but he's also one of those dudes who was never going to blow just cause of where he was from, history in the streets,and an inability to make music for the radio.

His shot at fame was around 2005 when he was with Xzibit and those other two
he even had radio play in San Diego around 2006 with some single, I think it was self titled, it was fire. He's a dope boy/pimp, was an active LPB Wk OG. He's certified. But, he's like 55 years old now. and SD is still pretty dangerous for someone like him.

He's dope but he's really a local act. SD rap for the most part is some of the worst shyt you'll ever hear in your life though.
