Lol

Not from Nas

That is what counts for a hit nowadays. If you don't have a (fake) country accent with a catchy hook and blaring 808s, no one will listen to your record. Nas is too NY for today's audience. Hov tries to keep up with the youth, and he is looking :flabbynsick:

Nah, that don't appeal to hoes nowadays. All hoes want is that southern style 808s and snares and country accents on them.

Y'all use that shyt as an excuse tho'... let's be real...

If you got the ability, you can do any style you want and make it hot. If you don't, you can try and fail.

Which one did he do?

Lol maybe in your hood but the world is a big place and Nas hasn't been around 20+ years because he was appealing exclusively to the hood or ratchet hoes :dead:

You're giving the recipe for 15 mins of fame ask Trinidad James. Nikkaz can jam to your record in the club 50 times not know your name and forget you next week or you can make meaningful music that lasts forever.

I like the way Jay does club records because its natural to him. Nas has the occasional anthem that crosses over when he tries to cater to that crowd he often fails.

Everyone knows that Nas is a legend. He can eat off his fanbase for the rest of his life. He doesn't need club records to eat well.

Virgo would've been a club banger if he made it a single back when if came out.....

But asking nas to make "turn up" music in 2014 is like asking why Kobe doesn't dunk anymore.

He's old and has a nice post game to rely on. :manny:

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
He either refuses to do so or it's a deep rooted flaw in his artistry
No. It's just when he does it it gets unfairly judged. You Owe Me was a banger when it dropped. It gets shytted on now just cause Nas made it. Oochie Wally was a banger. Nas gets shytted on for the song even tho he's just featured on it. It ain't even his song. And the list goes on. Nas killed features on bangers. Did U Ever Think, Hot Boyz remix, Head Over Heels, etc etc. People act like none of that shyt exists.

I mean, alot of people consider Nas to be this overly lyrical MC and they accepted this. They weren't used to him dropping Turn Up music all of a sudden. I prefer "Quick to Back Down" over "You Owe Me" and "Oochie Wally" tho
