Ice T also said that Biggie told him King Tee was his favorite rapper :ohh:

Posted this in a King Tee thread couple years ago....They both liked each other's style. King Tee gave him a lil nod on The Liks album. This was around the time Ready To Die had blown up...

Tila's verse @ 3:27....Had a potna around this time who thought the shyt was Big. He had to rewind it......Yeah, rewind as in cassette.

I see some chubb rock and Godfather Don in Biggie

Actually, King T sounded just like biggie on that song posted
Hmm, I don't see any Godfather Don in Biggie, Don is way more complex lyrically and had a more rapid delivery while Big was a better storyteller and better mic presence. Chubb Rock definitely, any Don tracks you think sound like Biggie?

Ice-T had reportedly said in a interview that Biggie was a big fan of King Tee who inspired him to rap with a deep voice and not change his flow. Ice even said King Tee was Biggie's favorite rapper, he used the flow on his debut album Ready To Die.

King Tee started rapping in the 80's and from Compton

Biggie got a similar flow to King Tee, hear this song from 1994

I remember this BIG doc where he had this homeboy who was like the only one out the crew who loved Cali shyt back in the early-90s. Said he used to put BIG on to certain stuff, beyond the usual names like Cube, NWA, etc... he would play shyt for him like Ant Banks. He said BIG just became a bigger hip-hop fan over time, he was listening to EVERYTHING.
