Im just saying at this point its the gold standard of black hairstyles. No other game really comes close, and thats because the nba is a black sport. If video games allowed more black directors and leads this would eventually be fixed but having black characters is still rare.

Thats why you still see people like barret in ff7 or the black dude in HFW trailer with non-black hair styles

I wouldn’t even lie: As much as I enjoyed the FF7 remake and the graphical upgrades, by far my biggest pet peeve... was Barret’s hairstyle.

After 20+ years of playing numerous games with mostly cac or white-skin protagonists, or create a character customizations that are shyt...

... I couldn’t help but be :comeon: when I saw Barret.

Kinda felt Rude could’ve been a breh as well since he was a darker shade in the OG iirc, but I digress.

To your point, it’s why having more brehs working as leads behind the scenes is so important.

2K definitely has the best choices in gaming but they can still improve

Random and sorta off topic but I think there should be 2-3 layers of skin on a model. 1 layer sht on custom characters, for black characters specifically, looks hella opaque :scust:
Like on breh face here. There shouldn’t be any loss of detail on his face

That’s if you can even make characters dark :mjpls::mjpls::mjpls: When I had Mass Effect 2 my sister came in after I finished this epic as journey and said “why you playing as Pauly D:dahell:” That sht hurted :comeon::mjcry:

I like to make my characters near Dark as possible but usually the darker you make then less you even see detail or have the features illuminated the same as lighter skin.

There should be some variance and smoothness to complexions and making darker complexions should not effect how the lighting on the character model. It should look of the same quality. Can’t speak to how or why this happens but it seems like an “acceptable oversight” more so than a technical impossibility.

This was a major problem for me on Dragon Age Inquisition as well. The lighting and skin options were absolutely fukked. I'd make characters that look good in the CC and then they look like trash in-game. :martin: My best characters with darker complexions had to look light-skin.

It shows me a lack of care and consideration. Blatantly :mjpls:algorithms where you can’t even get an option to be dark let alone look good while being dark.
:mjpls:

And that’s not even touching on the hair situation. Millions of polygons can be rendered at once, niqqas got city scapes, rain, sweat, sand particles+physics but can’t faithfully copy what they see on the wall of a barber shop or a salon? :dahell:
