I love how people are trying to argue that Bama and Georgia are more racist than ND. College football has been one of the most racially UNITING factors in the south.

ND college football is about proving the supremacy of privileged, white players with just enough blackleticism to function.

it's uniting in a sense that it integrates sports and black/white people can hi-five each other for 3 hours. And it's uniting in the sense that white people in the South often view high school/college athletes as celebs/entertainers.

But outside of that, many of them still don't like "regular" black people. There's racist people in Oklahoma who allow their daughters to date OU athletes/football players, but they would not allow their daughter to date a regular black dude, regardless of his character or his stature in academia. It's crazy, but I've witnessed it.
