The timeline is way off tho, Mayans were gone way before the Spanish arrived. Mel fukked up there, more Aztec than Mayan in many regards.

Historical inaccuracies aside, it's a dope movie but it does kind of switch from an epic type period film to a chase/action flick. Mel's commentary is a good listen of u haven't already.
