How are there "days" in heaven?

What you fail to realize is that the Bible was written on EARTH. Saying the Earth was created in seven days does not require heaven to have days.

depends on how you take it. There's debate on this even among Christians.

Some people take 7 to literally mean 7 days. Some see it as a way used to describe a process (phases).



I guess we'll have to wait till we die to find out the truth.

If you die and next findyourself standing in front of God then there's your proof.

If you die and simply cease to exist, well there's you're proof.

Decide which end ultimately sits the best with you and live your life accordingly.

Either there is a God and you will be judged by your actions, or there is no god and your actions are judge in the brief blip of time you exist by your fellow man.

"7 Days" isn't necessarily suppose to mean 7 days, but "a man/god rose from the dead and accended to heaven" is suppose to literally mean that. That's where this brand of mythology loses me.

So in the 1st couple verses of the Bible its already explained that there is time & what constitutes one day. It then goes on to explain creation of earth in 6 days... on the 7th day he rested.

If you look at what occurred during the 1st 2 days God was putting things in place that he would later form & give details to.

First He created the heavens & earth... but they were formless & empty & covered in darkness. So hypothetically speaking if man were to have viewed what was taking place we would not be able to point out what earth or heaven was or differentiate btwn the two... but they were there. Then God created light & separated light from darkness thus creating day & night/morning & evening. Again man wouldn't be able to differentiate btwn the two b/c they weren't given form or detail... but both existed & there was a distinction btwn them. Now after forming the earth (that is land, water & vegetation) day & night had to be given form to translate to earth... to eliminate confusion & provide structure & organization for the life (humans, animals) that would be created thereafter. So a greater light (sun) was formed to rule the day & the lesser light (moon) to rule the night. These lights were formed to help differentiate btwn day & night/ light darkness on earth. Without the formation of theses lights day & night would be indifferent to man on earth
