I’ve been having a hard time getting invested into this current season.

No team has currently ran away with a division and while the new rules make digesting a game easier, there isn’t a player or team that’s captured my attention. I used to make it a point to watch certain batters or pitchers (like a Mike Trout, Roy Halladay, Clayton Kershaw, CC Sabathia) but other than Ontani no one has the juice.

Hopefully things will heat up after the All Star Break

fukk the Blue Jays. Anthony Recker is owed an apology by many folks

He said Manoah was fat, and Manoah got sassy, even though Recker was just keeping it 100 with him

I've been saying for a while that MLB player performance is too erratic year-by-year which is why there are no real superstars left. It's terrible for the sport.

Analytics made baseball more difficult to really be a superstar as a hitter, and actually I think they’ve made pitchers better except pitchers fall off just as quick if not quicker than hitters

1.) I love Verlander. He's a first ballot HOFer and one of the greats. But, he did have some ups and downs during his career. He didn't put up 7-8 straight years of dominance like Pedro, Maddux or Unit.

2.) Ohtani is an anomaly. His hitting or pitching alone isn't better than everybody else.

3.) I'm the biggest Yordan guy on here. He's the best hitter in baseball, imo, but he doesn't have any eye popping stats yet.

4.) Judge has had two all world seasons surrounded by a bunch of really good ones and injuries.

The only true superstar position players/hitters since 2000 are Pujols, Cabrera and Trout. Those are the only guys to put up ten straight years of elite play.
