@god shamgod what's the deal with Merryweather? He looks like he should be the closer. His stuff is filthy. :picard:

Does he have control issues or something? Detroit looked hopeless with him on the mound. Alzolay was just spamming those weak ass breaking balls against the bottom of the lineup.

Yes , dude doesn’t pitch like that consistently but he definitely was nasty today

Alzolay struck out Witt jr on 3 pitches last weekend he’s gassed

Ohtani hit another home run today #44 but he just left the game due to arm fatigue. To be honest, I think he might want to think about shutting it down. Angels ain't doin shyt and he's got a contract coming up.

I think it's fair to question whether he can pitch for an entire season at this point. And what happens if he's on a team that makes the postseason. Will he be able to hold up for potentially another month of pitching?

He made 28 starts last year. I don't think I'd question his durability at this point. He's also turned into arguably the most valuable hitter in the AL so if you are signing him you're getting the best bat in the AL and potentially one of the best pitchers. We're looking at $600M minimum I think

That's only one year though. He had Tommy John after his rookie season and didn't pitch all of 2019 as a result.

Threw 130 innings in 2021; 166 last year and he's at 130 this year with multiple instances of arm fatigue.

I would sign him regardless but it sure seems like he needs a tweak to his pitching schedule or preparation.

Read this
If it wasn’t for MJ, would there even be a debate who’s consistently the worst owner in pro sports? I can’t even take this team seriously anymore. I’ve taken my son to more Cubs games than Sox games this year. My wife asked him who likes better last week and he said “the Cubs”, she asked why, “because they win”

He’s 3 & 1/2 years old
