44 - Acres Homes taken from the bus route. But Studewood is the original 44 because that was the route ; 44 - Studewood. Acres Homes was served by three branches of that route before Metro came along.
Studewood bus route was originally 8...I'm from Studewood so I have to correct you...(currently residing in the Heights)
Breh, you don't wanna go there with me.
But I'm going to take you there like Metro. The 8 you speak of is the current 9 - North Main. It was the 8 - North Main back in the 90s. The 8 never turned a wheel on Studewood, though the 44 - Studewood route is it's ancestor. The 8 - North Main (now the 9) was made up of branches of the 44 - Studewood which was broken up into three routes in the early 80s; the 8 - North Main which took over various portions of the via Main branches of the original 44, the 44 - Acres Homes Limited which took the Lincoln City, Garden City, and Paul Quinn branches and the via Freeway trips, and the 89 - Yale which took over the Studewood trunk line and the via Yale, via Tidwell, via Parker and 9000 branches.
So yeah, Studewood can rep that 44 proudly knowing they gave birth to the 44 - Acres Homes.
