Its bad and annoying, real estate agents stay calling my phone, my parents house phone about trying to buy their home.

Collective" --- which they say stands for Truth, Relevance, Intelligence, Leadership and Love -- urge residents in Houston’s Sunnyside and South Park neighborhoods to hold on to their properties.
"There are a lot of developers and buyers coming in taking advantage," says the group's co-founder, Ezenachi Rasidi. "There's just this big land grab going on with us losing a lot of the property and with that, you lose the culture that exists within the community."

They prey on the elderly and folks down on they luck. No different than credit card scammers from India or w/e.
They had a whole movement educating folks about these parasites coming into our community.

Whole community got pimped by gentrification. Now yo ass out in some brand new buildings turned trenches way out in the burbs without all the amenities, opportunities and communal foundation of the inner city. But aye at least the 'parment complex look newer right?
But our 13 Investigates analysis of more than 210,000 incidents reported to the Harris County Sheriff's Office since 2019 found the Cypress Station area has the most crime in the county. This doesn't include crimes reported to the Houston Police Department, which we analyzed last year, or other law enforcement agencies that serve the county.

Remote work is actually HARDER on my vehicles because they don’t move any more. Had to change the oil from it sitting over 6 months instead of mileage for the first time ever, battery keeps dying from both cars sitting, seals getting leaky etc. it’s a good problem to have thoughI was talking about this yesterday with the same group of friends. These "burbs" are more determinal than staying in the inner loop older hoods. Their is a huge hidden cost staying out on the burbs since you can't walk or use public transportation for daily living. The hidden savings of not using your car on a daily basis is huge. Image having a crap job and then getting aid. You barely have enough to scrap by. Add that to the residual cost of car ownership and you're SOL...
This didn't sit well with a lot of people.
