Inform ya loved ones especially ya elderly.

HOUSTON – The options for people to get tested for it continues to grow as the City of Houston, Harris County and Brazoria County look to combat the spread of coronavirus.

Option 1
Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said the city will open a testing facility at Butler Stadium Friday. This location will focus on first-responders and healthcare workers.

Price: not disclosed

Option 2
A drive-thru testing operation opened Thursday morning at United Memorial Medical Center in Harris County. The testing is free and only for those experiencing symptoms.

Price: Free

Option 3
Legacy Community Health has opened several satellite clinics.

Officials said if you have insurance, they’ll process it. If you are able to pay, they’ll do a sliding scale. However if you’re not able to pay, they will still work with you.

Price: Varies, based on insurance

Option 4
Next Level Urgent Care will begin drive-thru testing Friday morning at several locations across the area.

With insurance, you are looking at your co-pay. Without insurance, it’ll be a self-pay rate of $200.

PRICE: Insurance co-pay or $200 without insurance

Option 5
There are multiple testing facilities to choose from in Brazoria County. Remember, you must call ahead and meet the CDC testing criteria.

Here is where to get tested for coronavirus in Houston area and how much it costs

My mom and I went to the Kroger on Bissonnett and Highway 6 at 7 this morning, and it was not a scene

Pretty much all the paper towels were gone and they had signs limiting customers to two hand sanitizers, TP, etc. but it wasn't bad :manny:

so Dallas judge said we are next for shelter in place. so far we have the second highest amount in Texas.

Mayor/Judge trying to hold out as long as possible for some reason. I really think they wanted the Governor to make that call for the entire state, but he passed the buck right back to the mayors.

She did say they will look into this more today. She must be trying to figure out the essential/ non essential. The number of cases is going to spike once they get more testing done.

Well supposedly the 2 sites in Harris County only have 250 test per day and you have to pay 2 screenings to get tested so I think our number of cases will continue to casually increase.

I'm actually surprised Harris County didn't do it first. I have to hit my barber up this afternoon for a cut before work tonight. Can't wait until the 3rd to get a cut.

Im already thinking of non essential places I need to go before tonight.
