You from Boston, right? DC will be less of a culture shock from an urban standpoint. If you want suburban life and don't mind driving, choose Houston. If you want urban life and don't mind walking and taking transit, choose DC.

It's been a minute. I remember looking for houses out that way back in 08/09. That's when that one dude was out torching houses though, so I said fukk it and went to suburbia in Cinco Ranch for a few years. :sadcham:

Then you aren't far enough Northeast., wouldn't NE be Humble, Atosacita etc.. plenty of burbs out there. City is pushing out in each and every corner

When I say suburban, I mean not walkable or transit oriented, not very dense, not many walkup areas, etc. Practically everything is centered around car and built for that scale. The entire city of Houston is suburban in nature. Completely different from DC.
