houston.
That and somebody mentioned earlier about them concreting the bayous. Many environmentalists have said the same thing that concreting the bayous was one of the worst things the city ever did.
yea the water runs out much quicker on concrete. Once the bayous get full, there's literally nowhere else for the water to go to but the streets.

I work in the Medical Center and I've been at work since 7PM last night and they won't let us leave because they closed the flood gates:damn:. I'm getting disaster/hurricane pay and they're putting us in empty patient's rooms so it's not too bad :ehh:
Same here man. I was trying to leave and I see 3 floodgates up. I'm stuck here until further notice

Man I got a home girl that moved there and her complex flooded. Does the entire city of Houston flood or is it certain areas

If you stay near a bayou the likely hood is that it will flood when it rains this much.

I don't think its a lack of drainage, its just too much water at once with nowhere for it to go. I mean the bayous are maxed out, not sure how more drainage corrects that issue. This really only happens once a year, and people overstate the issue everytime, just stay home and enjoy the free day off if you do that then you won't really have any issues.

If you can afford to live near the bayous then you can afford homeowners and flood insurance, you get a remodel or you move somewhere else.

I'm out in Kingwood staying dry but it's some flooding/road closures. Nothing too unusual.

Hearing there was a tornado in Summerwood earlier this AM.:dwillhuh:

And these rains will continue until tomorrow morning so:francis:
