They just built one by my crib off 290. Going to check them out on the strength of the reviews on this thread.
Is everything gonna be overpriced all star weekend brehs?? Im thinking about going that weekend if not I'll be there in march 
Are there any cool hotels near the Arena the Rockets play at? Is that considered downtown?

you trying to stay their during all star weekend? you gonna get raped on the hotel price if you stay close to it
Toyota Center is in the heart of downtown

+ repYea, anytime I travel for sporting events I like to stay at a place that is walking distance from the arena. I did it when I went to watch my twolves in minny
And since its downtwon Im sure I can walk around and find something to do right?
But if they're gonna kill me that weekend I'll just go some other time
Its before Tidwell, if you are headed West on 290, you would have to take the 43rd/Pinemont/Bingle exit because if you exit Hollister/Tidwell you would have to make uturn and go all the way back to Bingle. Same exit if you are heading East.

Yea they're having the Celebrity game there and NBA Jam session event all weekend..
The Toyota Center is the basketball arena right?
The George R Brown is the convention center right?
So I think the question is if anything is going to happening related to the Allstar Game that weekend @ the Convention Center?? which is like two blocks from the basketball arena

what about the dunk competition and celebrity game?
I dont wanna go to any of them... I just wanna walk around, eat,drink, and party
