Houston Texans Thread 2021 - Caserio Picking Up The Pieces

Though there’s been a lot of praise for the offense outside of the goofy David Johnson plays and the defense has been rightfully shyt on, one offensive play that people may have undersold is when it was 3rd and 8 at midfield and the pocket collapse terribly quick and Watson was sacked. It was 23-21 and the Texans were driving. That was a brutal stop cause he had to settle for a punt and the very first offensive play was that Henry 94 yard TD. The game changes if you make the score 30-21 with 10 minutes left instead of 23-21. Now the Texans instantly scored after, but that was an awfully blown opportunity. What a disaster of a loss, so deflating as this could’ve been a springboard type of game. Now you have Rodgers next week and while I’m sure Watson could replicate his stats from today, but the defense had momentum and absolutely choked, and it’s damn near wishful thinking that you’d get multiple sacks and turnovers vs Green Bay.

Weaver has been a disappointment has a DC so far. I need the new GM to completely clean house. I don’t want anybody from O’Brien’s staff here next year. Need a full reset.

Not mad at this at all. Only reason I haven't harped on Weaver much is cause he's a first year guy and the cupboard is pretty bare due to O'Brien trying to build his Great Value Patriots style of guys where they're basically faceless foot soldiers. But if they went the direction of completely cleaning house, I'd be fine. Devlin still needs to go as well. I don't know how he has skated by with his mediocrity this long.

Yup they spent some high draft capital and a damn great receiver on those two so you got to get creative and use them together
