It's been known on the various UT forums for a couple years that Tom Herman's Dream Job is the UT job. It goes back to when he was a GA at UT back in 1999 & 2000 under the mentorship of than UT OC Greg Davis & Herman's current OC Major Applewhite at UH was QB1 at UT back than.

Herman's waiting for Strong to get the Jazzy Jeff treatment at Texas. Once Houston gave him the raise he had no incentive to leave if the job he really wants is basically guaranteed to be open next year.
