They gross 1.16 trillion dollars and have a budget of 132 billion dollars. You mean to tell me they dont have 30 billion for sandy reconstruction. I think the administration sees they do and have promptly told them. :beli:
No....I don't believe almost 1/3 of their probably already used budget was set aside for unparallelled disaster relief.

Tell me where that exists?

Guess they'll have to get some money outside of their budget, you know, their reserve funds. New york cities has one of the largest GDP's in the entire country. They have the money. You dont need handouts.

New York City doesn't have the available money and you labeling it as a "hand out" is slanted talk.

Why dont they have the money? They make a lot? Is the gov supposed to pay for all disasters? What responsibility do states have to their citizens during disasters. Especially when their GDP is through the Roof. Correct me if im wrong but i think New Yorks leadership is being greedy.

They do not have a surplus to cover the amount needed to pay for the unparallelled disaster relief Sandy costs.

Second, this isn't a New York City only thing. We're talking about Jersey as well.

Third....please give me an example of where a city or town which set aside 1/3 of their budget for disaster relief that you're asking out of the NY Tri state area.

I lived in tornado afflicted Oklahoma and didn't see budgets reflecting yours.

Name them....

I cant name one because i dont know. I just researched this issue about new york solely. I just find it odd that a city that generates as much money as nyc has trouble coming up with 30 billion and has such a small budget. Wheres their money going? Looks like they're going to have to come up with the money now though, since the government is doing them like katrina, financially. Not surprisingly, I think they'll be ok even with budget constraints.

Its so demonic, friend.

Exactly. Because what you're asking for isn't grounded in reality of any place in the country, yet you want that out of the NYC tri state area.

That makes sense!!! LOL

The rest of your post is nothing but jibba jabba.

Well, i think you, being a new yorker should address the issue of where the money is actually going to come from since its not coming from the government and is not in the state budget. I wouldnt call that jibba jabba, friend. Dont let my failure of your pop quiz turn you away from reality.

I know I can't be the only one seeing that going against the grain for the sake of doing so bs dude is on.

Why are you looking to friends for help in this discussion. Please let me know for the sake of my education since you have enlightened me on the issue.

Where is new york city going to get the funds if not internally or externally?

They'll just wait ?
