Probably did it on purpose would be my guess. He filled his house up with gas then ignited it to kill himself and destroy evidence. He knew they were coming

Damn I was expecting like a small explosion but that’s some movie shyt

Damn…that was bigger than I anticipated.

Probably burning garbage in the kitchen sink and methane from the pipes got ignited. This happened to me once but on a much smaller scale.
