I knew what record this was as soon as i seen the thread title. Son got a lil buzz in Brooklyn
...and this sounds nothing like a Chicago record. Shyt, i thought it was meek mill beat
This ish was embarrassing. Unfortunately this is where hip hop is now. I always keep going back to the point was when hip hop was Hip Hop, trash tracks like this were tossed in the bushes because you actually had to be able to rap to get on.
once again how is this drill? im just curious... point out the similarities... whats the difference between this and any random video from a SMACK DVD a few years ago... im seriously asking u to do this.
That's incorrect but I'll let you go ahead and push your agenda. And anyway ain't we too old to be dictating how the kids should be getting down? I'm not jamming to this stuff, but it was a movement the kids could have built off of. As long as they aren't blatantly copying from another region I'm alright with it. This sounds like NYC to me
I think NY got too stuck on traditions and killed the get lite movement.
Plus you have Ice Cube in your avatar you know your silly ass can't dance anyway...
"get your rap on"? old ass nikka. This culture aint for you no more. Go listen to The Lox or some retro trash... This shyt turned to the max...
You do know that Get Lite shyt is a straight up rip off of footworking?
Regional sounds are going to be completely dead within 5 years, the internet is too strong.
You keep listening to wack watered down music & wonder why real hip hop heads don't take you seriously.
i swear you nikkas from New York cannot read, i said it had a Chicago influence, not that it's drill music.
do you remember what those hood videos looked like, compared to the ones these Chicago kids started shooting recently?
it's literally shot in the same style, with the same effects that all these Drill rappers videos are shot in.... it just happens to have NYC kids in the video.
