Why would you be mad about what @anotherman is doing unless...
Let's say they have a treatment for dementia
You got older and dementia begins to creep in
They offer you a proven drug that derived from a hormone that can naturally keep the dementia at bay and return your mind back to more youthful state giving you a much better quality of life. Are you not gonna take it because "you're good at growing old"?
Anybody ever tell you your screen name looks like the sound Gollum makes when he coughs in LOTR?Why would you be mad about what @anotherman is doing unless...
That ain't nothing but a ultra perm.Fruits and berries nikka
You compared testosterone supplementation to botox. Testosterone is a hormone with a multitude of effects on the body ranging from mood, cognitive function, sex drive, bone density, muscle strength etc.Yeah because that's what I'm talking about.
It's a hypothetical. To induce a thought process on reasons why not to take it. Thats why i quoted who i quoted because i was setting up my argument. Low test and dementia both offer a lowered quality of life. Not taking something to treat it because "I'm good getting old" doesn't make sense. But dementia is a disease
TRT for people who don't actually have low testosterone doesn't make sense
Me: Acknowledges in the OP and in a subsequent comment that there are legitimate situations for TRT.You compared testosterone supplementation to botox. Botox is just a cosmetic procedure to stop the muscle in your face from moving to create the look of less wrinkles.
They aren't even close to being comparable on the overall effect on a person's quality of life

You: But what about.....

You ever tried to get a medical marijuana prescription?are we implying most doctors are just giving out TRT like candy to any man? Or are they taking steps to push them to reduce body fat, keep an active lifestyle, sleep, releive stress, and consume a balanced diet first? I thought this was about age related decline?
That sort of thing really should be a last resort.I get accused of using it because I'm 40 and still in great shape physically. I don't want to take it because I heard it potentially stops your natural production. You shouldn't need it until your old. If you stay naturally active, your body will produce more than enough of it.
