:whoa:

Define "going strong". Cash Money ain't what it used to be from any angle. 90% of the core members left and they had to rebrand the Big Tymers with Drake just to maintain interest.

If Wu-Tang lost all it's core members then tried to replace them with Justin Timberlake I sure as fukk wouldn't claim they're "still going strong".

:whoa:

Define "going strong".

Still relevant for reasons other than nostalgia...Cash Money is still one of the most important and relevant movements in rap based on what they're doing RIGHT NOW...and not just "back in the day" reverence...that's all Wu-Tang has at this point and why nary a fukk is given about the "next generation" Wu acts...they're just basically on some PGA Seniors Tour type shyt

But Cash Money is a label, while Wu-Tang is just a group...Wu-Tang the actual group is definitely "going more strong" than the Hoy Boys as a group...and while I'm a way bigger fan of the former than the latter, I can't cosign the thread as constructed...Wu-Tang as a group can at least all agree to come together for a reunion every however many years for a cash grab to keep the more :flabbynsick: members (basically all of them except for RZA, Meth, Ghost and Rae) from ending up like B.G....broke and in prison...RIP ODB

on the mic its not even really a contest...wu tang pretty easily, but i will say that i've listened to the hot boys 2 albums more than any wu album not named 36 chambers. i've listened to let em burn more times than any wu release since the 2000's as well. this is strictly group talk...i'm not going into solo's.

This thread was inspired by listening to IRON MAN at work today. shyt was far from great. Cuban linx same deal. Aside from their 1st group album ihavent heard an album from their camp that had an assortment of dope songs on it. It's always less than half.
ALL THAT I GOT IS YOU,is a real tear jerker and great song. But so much of the album is meh. Why do these guys get passes for boring beats and mush mouth god awful flows? shyt's disgusting. Ghost was lyrically on point as far as spitting real shyt from the soul, but his delivery sounded like a dude who just picked up the mic for the first time.
B.G. has a better solo catalog than anyone in WU

It's a valid discussion...But I think Ghost and Rae's solo projects put Wu Tang over the top...
B.G. solos will bury ghost and juvenile's cash money releases will bury raekwon with ease.
B.G. has non-major released solos that were hotter in the streets than any of ghost's music. I had nikkas steppin to me quoting and bumpin BG before the major deal. Never had someone outside the internet ask me about ghost EVER
