Rosenberg said this has no effect on Juan Epstein

Why would it effect Juan Ep? JE has nothing to do with Hot97 the only thing tying them was the fact that Rosenberg and Ciph were doing the interviews at the Hot97 studio but now they have another place so there's no need for that. It sounds to me like Ciph has known about this for a while and has actually put some work in to moving Juan Ep away from Hot97 because from the last 2 eps it sounds like they're about to get sponsors or start a show on satellite radio or something. Talking about charging for shows and having a new studio and talking about having ads and all that. They also pretty much threw away any chance of me paying for that shyt because they can't even get out one Ep a week when they had access to rappers in and out of hot97 all day and half the time JE was filled with radio bits so it wasn't even a decent podcast

Pretty much this. As much as a talent DJ he is, Cipha does not have the personality to host a radio show he suits better as a co-host.
With that said I'm not sure about having complete air heads on radio either, never heard of this Nessa chick tho

I agree......these pretty ditzy byatches have been putting the nail in the coffin of what's left of hip hop on the radio for the past decade....

mainly cause of their lack of knowledge or appreciation for the rich legacy of hip hop .....

most of these byatches couldn't tell you who da fukk DJ Premier is or the difference between a turntable and a mixer

and what's worst I KNOW DAMN WELL NONE OF THESE "RADIO THOTS" even got a damn DEGREE IN COMMUNICATIONS!!...that use to be a prerequisite to even getting a job as an on air personality :mindblown:

I had to deal with one personally at a Clear Channel station in Georgia several years back....

when I was pushing a single for a production company that happen to make the Station's "Battle of the Beats" competition for best local song....

I was amped....cause not only I felt I did my job in getting the song a good enough buzz to reach the ears of the stations deejays and PD, I also felt in my heart it was a good damn song worthy of play :ehh:

anyway we make it to the finals at the end of the week, with the winning song being able to go into regular rotation but also have the opportunity of having a meeting with a major label rep.....

and were (me and the production crew) are all tuned in listening to the radio show at the studio

so as the votes were coming in it was a dead heat tie, with the winning vote being held by the on air personality....I thought we was good...cause the deejay was feeling it and gave us his vote :boss:

but then this AIR HEAD BYATCH makes this remark as she about to announce her vote

"yeah the other record was cool, but I rocked with these guys last night at the club , so I got to give it up to the fam...." :snoop:

THIS BYATCH BASICALLY GAVE THEM THE WIN, CAUSE THESE DUDES BOUGHT HER SOME DRANKS :stopitslime:

I'm sitting there stunned with the rest of the production crew....:wow:

and I'm looking at the bossman of the label ...and he is just spewing out profanity after profanity about this "lame a$$ trick b****.....mane fukk dat h**" :scust:

yeah mane we all wanted to RAY RICE that radio slut......

we was naïve thinking it was just our local station like that...but after travels to many towns and markets like Atlanta, Columbia, Jacksonville and Birmingham....

we came to the realization the RADIO IS FULL OF AIRHEAD BROADS who cater to the legions of LAZY, AIRHEAD RATCHET THOT BYATCHES WHOM ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MOST OF THIS BULLSHYT WE HEAR ON THE RADIO............:comeon:

Yet these slutmonkeys try to compensate for it, by listening to GOSPEL :pachaha:

yup HOT 97 is just one of many places in RADIOLAND where HIP HOP DIED........:leostare:

I'm in Philly but Hot 97 is wacksauce right now....hell, for the last several years. When a guy like Ebro is headlining the morning show, then your station is in trouble.

I mean, we're talking NYC. The home of hip hop. The largest media market in the world. And yet their hip hop stalwart station is populated by some of the lamest, most PC, pro-corporate, corniest, non-blackinest employees I've ever seen.

Sidebar-Why is hip hop radio dominated by non-black DJs and radio personalities?

To go from Star n Bucwild and Miss Jones, who got a reaction out of you at least, whether you liked them or not. To this brand of bland, middle of the road bullsh#t is laughable. Cipha seems to be a cool guy but he was part of the problem....just another cream of wheat personality. Why cream of wheat? Because it's just cream of wheat....not great, not bad...not worth remembering.

I watch their interviews on Youtube and there's simply nothing there. Then I watch Power 105's interviews and the energy just kills Hot97.

I say Cipha and everyone else there needs to go. They need to revamp the whole on-air personality crew. Hot 97 needs a re-brand.

Peace

They need to go ahead and give Lord Jamar a job:lolbron:...But we all know that wont happen:mjpls:

I don't listen to hot 97 or any hip hop radio so I don't know what Cipha was like on the radio but on Juan Epstein he's always been funny to me especially in the beginning. The last couple of years though he seemed like he was more into comedy and improv and not really into interviewing rappers, he seems to like doing the non guest episodes more than when they have guest.

I hope his stand up or improv takes off for him, he seems like a good dude. Hopefully they keep Juan Ep going and get more consistent with it.

Ciph was never going to be a main guy...hes always a sidekick sort of guy.
i always thought Ciph was a laid back/relaxed guy but he always seems stressed/anxious and talks about going to therapy on Juan EP.

he's the reason Juan Ep got any decent guests..so theres not going to be that podcast without him.

saw a few of Nessa's interviews with Rocky, Schoolboy and Kendrick.
she'll fit the Angie Martinez role well...the interviewer that approaches it from a friend point of view.

nothing against Nessa, it's just a shame that theres not a replacement for Angie from NY.
NY station and the majority of the hosts didn't grow up there.
