Horizon Forbidden West is the Prettiest Game I've Ever Played

I don't even need to post pictures because I know ya'll nikkas been taking screenshots in game of this masterpiece. But real talk, I can only remember maybe 3 or 4 times where I said "this game is the best looking game I've ever played". I remember saying this back in 2017 when Mass Effect Andromeda came out. For all its problems, the graphics in that shyt were unmatched at the time.
Then when I played God of War
I remember telling my wife I aint never seen no shyt like this. Then like a month later, I played Detroit become Human and I was like I can't believe how good this game look.

I was also floored by TLoU2 and Red Dead Redemption 2

But Forbidden West takes the cake. Idk what it is. I think its the the way the colors pop. The reds, blue's and greens are so vibrant and bold. It took me damn near 80+ hours on my playthrough and I can say I probably spent just as much time taking pictures than actually playing.

I heard some of yall saying CP2077 was the best looking game. I disagree and I played it on a XSX on a 55" OLED. The game was beautiful but it didn't pop like HFW.

I just don't see how games could get any better than this. The next step up graphically would be indistinguishable between real life and virtual reality. There won't be a game that bests HFW graphically for quite a while.. Well maybe GoW Ragnorak. We'll see.

ZD was an okay looking game. The color palette was really washed and faded. Forbidden West took it to a entirely different level. I remember when the trailer dropped for HFW where Aloy was fighting the Slitherfang and all over twitter, there were prominent game studios tweeting about how in awe they were of the graphics and how well done the gameplay was. They even had competitors tryna figure out the formula for how they pulled this shyt off

I’m not sure it’s topping Cyberpunk but I also played that maxed out on PC with ray-tracing. They’re close but what I will say is the animation work from HW completely shyts on it

Sometimes I get mesmerized just by watching the facial animations of NPCs during cutscenes. I don’t remember a time where I’ve felt more awe while playing a game

I spent so much time yesterday just playing around in photo mode. The graphics and art direction of the game actually improves my enjoyment. Some gamers love to say that graphics don't make a game good and yes graphics alone won't make a game good but when the game is already good, the graphics make it even better.
