Maybe just move with the analog sticks like normal and you got strafe buttonsI wonder how movement works in this game.

I hope so. If its scripted or the usual teleport bullshyt that you see in VR games, then this game is an easy pass.
Also there's A LOT of climbing and platforming in the trailer. I hope they do it properly and not make it gimmicky.
Alanah Pearce said she’s played it and it’s “incredible” but can’t say anything else.
idk man you know I'm always skeptical whenever one of these industry influencer's have an opinion. I know she works for Sony now, but she still a personality in the industry at the end of the day.
Either way, I guess we'll wait and see. I'm sure Sony will show the game off more ahead of release. But that's a make or break for me.
The thing with VR is that its still new technology, and we still haven't discovered what good lasting games and experiences are outside of the gimmicky tech demos disguised as games we got now. None of those VR games have any replay value. The only things with lasting power in the VR space are meta stuff and porn. Sony literally needs to make VR gaming experiences better than porn to become an industry leader in VR lol, otherwise they'll be relegated to their corner in the market for PS branded experiences similar to Nintendo is today, and we already know Sony is super strict with censorship so that works against them too. Idk if this Horizon game is the answer to VR gaming from what we seen so far. I need an actual hands on preview lol.
Polygon said:Last week, I tried Sony's new headset for the first time and was caught off guard by how stunning two of its marquee games, Horizon Call of the Mountainand Resident Evil Village, looked. They didn't rely on particles or stylized art direction; they looked like AAA console games that just happened to be in VR. The past few years of playing Quest had recalibrated my expectations for how VR games should appear, and it was great to see games pushing forward visually once again without requiring an elaborate setup.
Gamespot on Horizon said:Horizon Call of the Mountain is an impressive showpiece that makes compelling cases for pretty much every new hardware design and engineering choice made for the PSVR 2.
Gamespot on Horizon said:The level of detail on display was genuinely overwhelming, mostly because I didn't expect it from a VR game. I know how dismissive that sounds of all the VR games out there, of which there are certainly more than a few impressive-looking ones. However, there's a clear line between the way a VR game and a non-VR game look--there's a level of richness, detail, and polish that separates the two. Horizon Call of the Mountain blurs that line on PSVR 2.
