...Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader is NOT a sympathetic character.
Dude is out here murdering innocents and snapping kids necks just to lure Obi-Wan out, and then has the nerve to blame Obi-Wan for it. :scust:

Not that him murdering kids is new. This guy deserved everything that happened to him and worse, and it's NOT the fault of the Jedi or Obi-Wan or even Palpatine really. Anakin is just a scumbag that blames everybody else for his terrible decisions and behavior. Not saying he's a bad character but I see too many people acting like this guy is deserving of sympathy. The fact that he saved HIS kid doesn't nearly make up for his pure lifetime of being a murdering scumbag. In fact you could argue that its just Anakin being selfish as usual since he'll save HIS kid but murder everybody else's.

If Qui-Gon shows up Obi should ask why he doomed the Jedi by making him train this bytch ass nikka. Low key I hope Obi drops him in lava again.

Okay that's the end of my rant :heh: just been seeing too many people acting like Skywalker is this fallen hero when he's just a terrible person.

Yep, there's a difference between redemption and forgiveness. He redeems himself, but we don't have to forgive him.

I would say his redemption is pure because he's in tune with the force to retain his form (with the help of Obi-Wan).

Absolute psychopathic scumbag for half his life though.

:patrice:I not sure about all that Anakin did in the end was kill one evil man in the emperor:demonic: as his good deed but he help the empire/emperor kill billions also that not getting into how the empire like to enslave non-humans aliens race:mjpls: it like shyt Anakin had did a shyt ton of truly evil shyt :demonic:by the time he kill the emperor and he only did that because the emperor want to kill his son to me Anakin got off to light for the crimes he commit against the galaxy.

Redemption doesn't work like that though, it's not a counting game.
He redeems himself by doing a good thing - that doesn't mean the bad shyt doesn't count. If it does then we should also count the good he did as a Jedi, and the amount of lives he saved by ending the Sith lineage (f*ck the sequels).

Luke was the catalyst because he was his son, just like Padme/Shmi were the catalysts for his fall - it didn't matter WHY he did it when he became evil, and it doesn't really matter WHY the other way around.

He saved a good person, that's a good deed :manny:

:patrice: even you try to discount the new movies that came out in the old canon in the books and game storys that come after return of the jedi he did not end the empire of evil that he help create the empire even in it weaken state is still a major power that all dark side force adept run to for help in order take over the galaxy . And the alot of the good he did as a jedi got wipe by his own hands because he help the emperor kill alot of the people he save as a jedi.
