Keep in mind, most of them have already been to jail for what they've done in the streets.
Your idea has been proven to not work, and actually exacerbates the problem.
FWIW, these dudes all making a concerted effort to call for truces between the largest collectives of hoods that have issues is better than what has been happening. It's not going to stop whatever issues the Florencias,18st, South Los, Inglewood or any other folks have with them.
