He's garbage.
That's the problem. The people that picked him as the coach are the same people that assembled that roster.
I'm not basing my dislike for Jackson's coaching on his record coaching a makeshift injury riddled Warriors roster. It's that he's a total moron.
10ppg. and 8ast. (Jackson) vs 11ppg. and 6 ast. (Rivers)
How many Warriors practices have u been 2?
27. Randy Wittman (Washington): Never came close to having a winning season. Nice guy but a proven loser.
21. Kevin McHale (Houston): Can’t hide his cynical attitude. Not thoroughly committed to coaching.
from what I remember, doc played on the bum ass clippers and hawks, and jackson played mostly for the pacers and knicks. both were playoff teams. jackson was purely a PG for his teams. he wasn't even a scoring option really. doc's teams sucked and he still only put up 11ppg. I remember doc being more of a combo guard than a pure point. also jackson played way more years and his stats look worse since he had some years at the end with poor ppg and ast production.

George Karl is overrated imo
Mark Jackson getting a bad rap. Funny how good players make coaches look better. A healthy Curry and Bogut and Jackson is top 12 on that list next year.
This particular ranking seems to do a good job of separating coaches and their records, such as not just assuming Mike Brown and Scott Brooks are great coaches just because they have been blessed with a lot of great players. Mark Jackson is where he should be given his lack of experience.
I think that most of the coaches on that list are interchangable and that only a few coaches in the league really make a tangible difference. Jackson has just always seemed clueless to me and I don't know why they were so anxious to give him a head coaching job before he ever proved himself in any lesser roles.
