Everyone that's come across him say hes a genuinely good guy and a hard worker. He wasn't at all ready for a job like this and still cocaiena shawty jim buss thought it'd be a good idea to hire this guy. He shoulda been an assistant with the bobcats or something, not head coach of GOAT franchise. He didn't have a chance to succeed at the coaching level he at, especially with the excess :trash: on the bench.

If anything, ALL of this backlash should be aimed at the idiot currently running the day to day operations. Good luck in your future endeavors Mike, we bammed out wholetime. :whoo:

For all that harping you've been doing, you all of a sudden feeling bad?

Dude couldn't win with the two best players of this generation(arguably). Doubt he'll ever get another head coaching job again in the nba.

I don't feel bad at him at all...when you're handed a team full of superstars in the NBA you're expected to win. That's it. If you don't you deserve to get fired. A 1-4 start is unacceptable with this team and Brown's done nothing to prove that he deserves to keep his job.

The D (where it's so cold)
Im still trying to figure out how the guy got hired in the first goddamn place

wasnt built to be the Lakers head coach...or an NBA coach in general

That's a good ass question, his hiring had to be 100% to spite Phil Jackson. No way could it have been based on actual basketball coaching ability because their were way WAY more candidates available other than Mike Brown.

I don't feel bad for him at all, but I agree with the premise of this thread. Jim Buss has been bad since he took over the team and he pushed Phil out the door and passed on Shaw and Adelman for that bum.

Nah @educated, it's clear you didn't see the wild shyt that was going on. Questionable rotations/subs, the defense was gettin worse, it was all too clear this team ain't respect him as a leader. jim buss is truly a dirtbag for putting this brotha in such a compromising position. fukk him. :birdman:

That aint his fault though. That transition D and perimeter D been fugazy for the last 3 years.

A 32 year old Pau, Ron Artest, and Steve Blake wasn't gonna help the cause any.

Don't know why Duhon and Hill didn't get more burn. Those guys would had the legs to really get in transition and stay in front of people. But you right about his rotation/subs.....:mindblown:

And the players did lay down on Mike

Oh well, he got 11 mil. He'll be cool. I would sit on my ass for 2 years and make the lakers pay me while I trick off on exotic escorts..

That's just me though

Edit: how in the world is Del Negro still coaching?

Waiting on all the Mike Brown haters to give you a logical answer for that

He should go coach college I think he can excel there.

Although he did well in the NBA, I know what you're saying and I concur.

His style of coaching would be good for a lot of kids who want to learn basketball on a rudimentary level and have discipline.

I think he would do very well now that I think about it
