i honestly feel mad men is a much better show than breaking bad and homeland... in every conceivable way... and ive watched all 3 shows religiously and enjoy them.

but mad men is something you can go back and rewatch, deconstruct and figure out new things... breaking bad is just a linear story, if someone spoils it for you, so much is taken away from the enjoyment. real straight forward.

i guess its preference

I thought homeland became a rehashed version of 24?

It did for a few episodes in the middle of the season. But the beginning and end pretty great.

Not best show great though.

:dahell: Why would we have to be trolling, breh? Carrie breaking Brody early in the season is a better scene than anything that happened in BB season 5 pt. 1. Hank finding the book is probably the height of the season, and even then the real impact of that scene is the misdirection they used, since we all pretty much knew Hank would find out eventually. I don't even think it's a fair comparison since it's only half a season, but you're being clearly biased if you think half of a Breaking Bad season is better than Homeland's second.

I don't have the heart to drop those bombs over Baghdad and bring up Finn da gawd. I won't do that to you, breh :whoa:

Can't hate on that.... I love both shows

But as far as last season goes, I'll have to give Homeland the edge..

Breaking Bad's last 4 episodes were great but it started a little slow..

I am biased breh. :manny:

But I don't mean my opinion.

I'm talking about the fact that Alex Gansa had to do multiple interviews copping pleas, talking about :whoa: "Homeland ain't fell off, we are kinda like 24 now but don't give up on us, we haven't jumped the shark", etc.

Vince Gilligan never had to do no shyt like that for "BB" season 5. :youngsabo:

The Carrie breaking Brody shyt was :whoo:....matter of fact, the first 4-5 eps was all :whoo:....but it stalled out for a good 5-6 eps in the middle. I remember vividly because I had to defend it, which is odd, because if I'm that biased it would've been the perfect time to say :troll: "I told yall this shyt wasn't all that". But nah....I rode for it when people was talking about how it jumped the shark, turned into "24", pacemakers can't be hacked, cell phones can't work in the Pentagon, Carrie shouldn't be working for the CIA, and all that other crazy shyt. I know people remember me defending it because they were like :wtf: "but I thought Fred was a Breaking Bad stan".

But now, for people to say it's better than "BB"....nah son. :whoa: with all that. I gotta draw the line somewhere.

Fred.

:dahell: You think I ain't peeped your triple agent work in that thread, fred?:mjpls:

But for real tho, I would never say Homeland is better than Breaking Bad in general as one show just started and the other has had more than twice the amount of time to build it's characters and plot. I just can't sit here and say half a season of BB is better than a whole season of Homeland. Gilligan never had to defend jumping the shark cause nikkas weren't holding that "realism" microscope over his show from day one. So when you got dudes making giant magnets and jacking trains for chemicals, nikkas don't bat an eye. But Homeland didn't have an outlandish premise from jump so cats ran with it being "realistic" and complain about the stupidest shyt. So yeah, the producers address it. I said it in the series thread, cats never came with legit complaints, just petty shyt like Facetime on a Blackberry.

The fukk is "Homeland" :wtf:

What's it about and is it on netflix :leostare: (don't ask me to look it up myself, I won't)

It's about the anti-terrorist branch of the CIA. A POW is found alive in Iraq after being held captive for 8 years but he might actually be a sleeper agent for terrorists. So the series is the CIA trying to figure out which side he's working for.

Definitely worth checking out. First season is :wow:

Dunno if it's on Netflix though.

Fred.
